Thanksgiving Eve

It felt so good to go home for Thanksgiving Break. Being able to see my friends and my family for more than two days is awesome. Everyone knows that Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest party night of the whole year. Thanksgiving Eve my friends and I decided we didn't want to go to the city because everyone and their mothers were going there. So we decided to go to a town on Long Island called Rockville Centre. This town is right off the Long Island RailRoad just like my town. My friend and I decided to take the train there. We brought a 24 pack on the train and drank before we got to the bar because the drinks that night were soo expensive and it was going to be so crowded. It would be impossible to get drinks all night. So by the time we got to Rockville Centre we already had a good buzz. We got there at 8:00pm. No one was there yet. We went to a bar called Kasey's. We met my friend's sister and her boyfriend there. As soon are we got there they were buying us drinks. By 9:30pm we were hammered. We started the party. After all those drinks we got everyone to start dancing. We were on the dance floor the rest of the night. By the time we were ready to go home it was 2:30am. We took the train back to my town. As we got of the train we still weren't ready to go home. So as soon as we got off the train we went to another bar in my town McGoreys to get some more drinks and food. Our night didn't end until 4:00am. My mom was not happy with my the next day. I wasn't able to fuction for anything. I was too tired and hungover. What a good night for me!

Housing

I never knew living off campus could be soo complicated. This is my first year here and everyone I have spoken has already signed a lease. I looked at three different houses, and I can't figure out what house I want. Some of them are so nice. Some are nice but not worth the money. Living off campus is very stressful. We were stuck between many options. My bestfriend Abby and I couldn't figure out what we wanted to do. We could have moved to Owego Street with our friend Courtney that I went to high school with. Or Abby and I could have move into a house with our friend Nicki from the Lax team and some of her friends. Last option is our guy friend are living in a house my friend mike's parents are the landlords for. The guys are moving out after this year. There house is gross right now. But the house is huge, and because im good friends with mike his parents were going to redo the entire house for girls. They said they would do whatever we wanted fixed. They only thing is we only have 4 people that could live in that house. The house is for 8 people. We don't want any random people living in that house with us. So we are really stressed out about what to do!?!? We are leaning more towards courtney and her three friends.

My weekend was awesome. Friday I went out partying at 14 Reynolds. Five bucks all you could drink. They have parties every weekend. Saturday I went to the mall in syracuse. Saturday night I went out with my friends. The exciting part that.. that night I got a phone call from my sister saying she got engaged. Then thats really when it hit me. I just wanted to go home to hangout with my family. It was my other sisters birthday too. Everyone was at my house on sunday to celebrate my sisters birthday and my other sisters engagement.

Engagement Crisis

So I think was the craziest weekend of my life I think. I went home on an emergency phone call from my parents saying I have to get home some how and they would not tell me why! I was FREAKING OUT! I got one of my friends to take me home for the weekend. I got home and I still did not know what was going on until saturday night. Saturday night my family gets a phone call from my older sister Cheryl ( shes not the oldest tho.) She was screaming into the phone with excitement! She got engaged!! Everyone in my family was happy for her. So, sunday was my oldest sister Lisa's 26th Birthday. So my entire family came over all day long to celebrate her birthday and my sisters engagement. Everything was great until I saw Lisa's boyfriend John looking down and upset but did not think of anything. I came back to Cortland in such a great mood. Monday night I get another phone call from my mother sounding all confused. I was sitting there talking to her and she was told said, "Guess what." I did not know what was going on. So she told me Lisa's Boyfriend John was supposed to also propose to her. What are the chances the two of them were supposed to get engaged on the same night? The only person that knew about this entire thing was my father. He did not do anything about it. So now there is a huge world war going on in my house when I am here and no one knows what to do! Seriously what are the chances of this. This is supposed to be special for the both of them and they are both miserable. Only in the Torree household this would happen!

Dorm Pranks

So tonight in Hayes Hall in the "pit" we got a little out of control. There is a girl across the hall that my roommate and I always mess with. Like when we come home at night on the weekends at like 2am we bang on her door and wake here up. We make her come in and hangout with us when shes been sleeping for like 2 hours. Anyways, tonight we get her really good. We looked on google and typed in College Pranks. This one website came up that had a bunch of good ideas. We picked one and did it. Before we did it we told her room mate about it. We told the room mate to get a towel ready. My room mate and my friend filled up one of our room waste buckets with water.When they were done filling it up they put it on an angle lean up against the door. While they were doing that I was on the phone with her room mate to let her know we were doing it and to make it look like she was busy so she couldnt open the door. So my friend and room mate knocked on the door and ran. The girl opened the door and when she did that the bucket feel over and water shot out everywhere. She was soaking wet at her feet. She wasn't very happy. It was funny to us but after we saw her cleaning it up and wasn't in a good mood we help her clean up all the water.

Did anyone watch the Yankees vs Boston games this weekend? Thats right Yankees took the serious 2-1! The two games they won were really great games. Friday night game was an exciting win 8-7. Sunday nights game was even better! Bottom of the 9th inning two outs and bases loaded with "Big Poppi" up at the plate. The the one person I wouldn't want to be up in the situation. Its the biggest threat Bostons has right now. I for sure thought he was going to get a base hit or even a homerun. Especially, the way Mariano was pitching in the bottom of the 9th. I really thought he was going to blow the game. But he didn't. I am a big yankees fan but we need to get rid of Mariano or something because he hasn't done anything this year. Everyone is starting to figure him out and his Fastball isn't working anymore. But other then that the Yankes totally turning around their season! Im a proud Yankees Fan!

Off Season

Once fall ball ended for lacrosse I thought that was going to be it for lax untill January. Boy was I wrong. One week after fall ball ended we received and Email from our coach. The email told us we had to be stronger as a team. She set us up with a personal team trainer. We were told we had to weight room three times a week with our trainer. We started out having weight room mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. You think that is a lot. Well two weeks later we received another email from our coach telling us that our OFF SEASON were going to add in tuesday and thursdays into out schedules. If anything knew anything about weightlifting, it is not good to lift five days in a row. We ened up having Lifting monday, wednesday, and fridays. Tuesdays and Thursday ended up being conditioning. I dunno which is hard conditioning or lifting. Conditioning we do all different kinds of sprints. For example: 4-20 yard sprints, then 4- 40 yard sprints, then 3-50 yard sprints and then finish off with 4- 100yard sprints. That sounds hard but the weightroom isn't much easier. We do front and back squats while holding 109lbs. After the squats we do things called skater lunges also with 109lbs. Then we have all different arm and back exercises. After that we do some ab exercises. When we are finished with that we have to max out with bench presses. This trainer of ours is trying to turn us in to jacked guys. We are the Women's Lacrosse team, Im not really sure if he know that!! Its getting so fustrated i can't take lifting this much. If I continue on lifting this much, Im not going to be able to fit through a door way!
